Something Feel Off?
Let's Figure Out
Why.

You’ve worked hard, made smart choices, spent hours building a resume. And yet — something still feels off. That feeling has a name. It’s called misalignment. And it almost always traces back to the same two things: not knowing what you truly value, and not understanding what you’re genuinely good at.

From the most popular elective at NYU, the Becoming You One-Day Intensive workshop is a single, focused day designed to change that.

  • Becoming You One-Day Intensive

The Methodology That Changes How You See Yourself

    June 4, 2026 | 9am-4pm | NYU Campus

Dr. Suzy Welch is an award-winning professor at the NYU Stern School of Business, bestselling author, and the creator of the Becoming You methodology — a ground-breaking career planning framework originally developed through her doctoral research and now taught to thousands of people worldwide, from 18 to 80.

The Becoming You methodology is built on a powerful idea: your purpose lives at the intersection of your Values, your Aptitudes, and Economically Viable Interests. The One-Day Intensive goes deep on the first two.

Because here's what we know after teaching this to thousands of people: until you understand what drives you and what you're naturally wired to do well, everything else is guesswork.

"If you feel like you've lost your compass or your direction, congratulations: you've just found it. Let Suzy Welch be your guide."

  • Part One:

    Values Excavation

    June 4, 2026 | 9am-4pm | NYU Campus

    You'll walk away knowing:
→ Your 16 values — named, ranked, and genuinely understood for the first time
→ Which of your values are in conflict with each other (and why that tension has been quietly exhausting you)
→ Which values your current work is honoring…and which it isn't
→ Why you've said yes to things that felt wrong, and no to things that felt right

    Why this changes everything:
→ Every major life decision — career moves, relationships, where to live, what to pursue — becomes clearer when you know what you actually stand for
→ You stop making choices based on what looks good on paper and start making them based on what fits who you actually are
→ You gain the language to articulate what you need in a role, a company, and a life — to yourself and to others
→ Misalignment stops being a vague feeling and becomes something you can identify, name, and fix

You'll leave with something most people never have: a precise, deeply understood map of what drives you. A compass you'll use for the rest of your life.
  • Part Two:

    Aptitudes Identification

    June 4, 2026 | 9am-4pm | NYU Campus

With four research-backed, proven assessments we will cover:
→ Your cognitive strengths — the kinds of thinking and problem-solving that come naturally to you
→ Your emotional intelligence and interpersonal wiring — how you lead, connect, and operate
→ Your personality architecture — the deep behavioral patterns that shape you and what environments bring out your best

    Why this changes everything:
→ You start pursuing work that's actually built for how your brain works
→ You understand why certain tasks feel effortless while others drain you — and it has nothing to do with effort or discipline
→ You gain a vocabulary for your strengths that goes far beyond "I'm a people person" or "I'm detail-oriented"
→ You walk into every future interview, performance review, or career conversation knowing exactly what you bring to the table — and why it matters

The goal isn't a list of skills. It's a genuine understanding of how you're built, and what that means for the work you should be doing.

    What You'll Leave With

    June 4, 2026 | 9am-4pm | NYU Campus

→ A clearly defined, deeply understood list of your personal values
→ Clarity on which values have been in conflict or going unmet — and why that matters
→ A rich portrait of your unique cognitive and emotional aptitudes
→ A new framework for evaluating every career and life decision going forward
→ The language to finally explain why certain roles and relationships fit — and why others never have

  • Is this for me?
    A
If you've ever thought, “I just don't feel like myself. Am I in the wrong place?” This day was designed for you.

    You might be:
An early-career professional trying to figure out which direction actually fits who you are
→ A mid-career professional who's been successful, but suspects there's something more aligned out there
→ A leader entering a new chapter who wants to make sure it's the right one
→ Anyone facing a big decision who wants to make it from a place of real self-knowledge, not guesswork

Professor Welch has taught the Becoming You methodology to participants from 18 to 80. The questions are universal. The answers are entirely, specifically yours.
  • How is the One-Day Intensive different from the Three-Day Intensive?
    A
The Three-Day Intensive covers the complete Becoming You methodology from start to finish: Values, Aptitudes, and the third pillar — Economically Viable Interests — which is a structured exploration of the industries and megatrends where your strengths and values can find real opportunity in the world.

The Three-Day program then synthesizes all pillars into personalized career pathways using the Career Catalyst, a proprietary tool that collects all of your Becoming You data and provides you with three designated career options just for you, and is available exclusively in the full program.

The One-Day Intensive focuses only on the first two pillars: Values and Aptitudes. Think of it as a deep foundation. Enormously valuable on its own — and the essential starting point for everything that comes after.

Because the One-Day program serves a larger group in a compressed timeframe, there are also fewer small-group and reflective exercises than in the Three-Day, and less opportunity for individualized conversation with Professor Welch. If you want the full journey (including your completed roadmap and access to the Career Catalyst) the Three-Day Intensive is the experience designed for that.
  • Will we use the Career Catalyst tool?
    A
Not in the One Day Intensive. The Career Catalyst is Becoming You's proprietary synthesis tool, reserved exclusively for the Three-Day Intensive. It's designed to help participants pull together all pillars of the methodology and build their personalized roadmap for three distinct career paths, and is a process that requires the full program to do.
  • What about the third pillar — Economically Viable Interests? Will we cover that?
    A
Not in this workshop. The Economically Viable Interests portion of Becoming You is a structured survey of the industries, sectors, and megatrends where real economic opportunity exists, and where your unique combination of values and aptitudes might find its best expression.

It's designed to "open the aperture" on what's possible, often surfacing paths participants had never considered. That work takes place on Day Three of the Three-Day Intensive.
  • How much time will we have with Professor Welch?
    A
Professor Welch teaches the workshop herself. That said, the One-Day format is more structured and moves at a faster pace than the Three-Day Intensive, which means there is less time for one-on-one conversation, individualized questions, and the kind of deep personal reflection that the longer program makes possible.

If direct access to Professor Welch is a priority for you, the Three-Day Intensive offers significantly more of that.
  • Are there group exercises?
    A
The One-Day format includes fewer group and reflective exercises than the Three-Day program. The day is structured around learning the framework, completing the key assessments, and interpreting your personal results, which means the focus is inward rather than interpersonal.

Group dynamics and shared reflection are a meaningful part of the Three-Day experience; in the One-Day, the emphasis is on your individual process.
  • What is included in the program fee?
    A
The fee $599 includes full-day instruction with Professor Welch, all workshop materials, the assessments completed prior to the workshop, and access to the Becoming You learning frameworks used throughout the program.

Meals and lodging are not included.
  • What if I still have questions?
    A
Bring ‘em! Please contact us at hello@suzywelch.com.
